An adult male alpinus from the Harghita Mountains, Eastern Carpathians, Romania. Taken on 7.04.2005 by the late László Szabó-Szeley. Note that the white back patch is marked with black and the heavily barred underparts. This is a mlae, though on this shot the yellow crown is hardly visible.
